I don’t know much about The Gladeyes, and frankly I’m not ready to know anything else at this very moment. I caught their collaboration with Jimmy Payday on the Lil Chief Records blog. Now I am obsessed, but I refuse to listen to any of their other songs due to fear of disappointment.
Do these girls usually rap? Because on this particular tune, they sound like a less slutty version of Avenue D, only it’s somehow better than when Avenue D actually stopped being slutty. Not that there’s anything wrong with sluts. I love sluts. Sluts rock! It’s just got to be the right slut.
I’d say this is the perfect summer pop song, but it’s far too scattered for anyone else to agree. I have a feeling that people who like The Blow would like this, but I wouldn’t necessarily draw a direct comparison to The Blow. Stop doing a direct comparison! I didn’t mean to put ideas in your head.
